    Elite iQ Laser Treatments

Your guide to preparing for treatment and caring for your skin afterward.

    Important

Following these instructions helps reduce the risk of complications and supports appropriate healing after your Elite iQ laser treatment.

    Before Your Laser Treatment

Avoid sun exposure to the treatment area according to the wavelength used:

    1064 nm
Avoid sun exposure for 1 week before, during the treatment course, and 1 week after treatment.
    755 nm
Avoid sun exposure for at least 4 weeks before, during the treatment course, and at least 1 week after treatment.
    • Apply broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen SPF 30 or higher whenever the treatment area is exposed to sun.

    What to Expect After Treatment

    • Slight redness (erythema) and swelling may appear immediately after treatment. Blistering may occur.
    • After laser hair removal, treated hairs may exfoliate or push out approximately 2–4 weeks after treatment.

    Post-Treatment Skin Care

    • Treat the area delicately. Do not rub, scratch or pick. If a crust forms, allow it to fall off naturally.
    • Apply a thin layer of ointment to the treated area several times a day to keep it moist.
    • Do not scrub; pat the skin dry. Do not shave over areas with swelling, crusting or scabbing.
    • For swelling, apply ice wrapped in a soft cloth. Acetaminophen may help discomfort or stinging.
    • If makeup is permitted, apply and remove it gently. Rubbing can reopen the treated area and increase the risk of scarring.

    Activity After Treatment

    • Laser hair removal: avoid sports and strenuous exercise for 2–3 days.
    • Laser vein treatments: avoid sports and strenuous exercise for 7–10 days.
    • Walking is encouraged.
